A: It’s not necessary, but you can give it a quick wipe if you’d like. The cover fabric is steam-washed three times before assembly, so there’s no unpleasant odor out of the box. It’s ready to use as soon as it arrives.
For everyday care, a mild baby-safe cleaner or baby wipes work great. Just ensure the mat is fully dry before laying it down again to prevent any mold.
