Why is yours better than a puzzle mat?
Think of a puzzle mat as a temporary fix, and a Wunderkids mat as furniture. Puzzle tiles have dozens of seams that trap crumbs and liquids, making them nearly impossible to keep truly clean. They also tend to peel, flake, or separate over time—a real hazard for curious mouths.
In contrast, our mats provide a smooth, water-resistant barrier so spills wipe up in seconds. We use premium, durable vegan leather that won’t flake or puncture.
Plus, at more than double the thickness of standard tiles, they are designed to last for years of roughhousing rather than just a few months of crawling.
How old do I need the playpen from and to?
From the first rolls (0–5 months) through active toddlerhood (3Y+). It evolves from a safe tummy-time sanctuary into a dedicated play room as they grow.
Can I make the playpen bigger, like double or triple?
Yes. Our modular design grows with your needs. You can easily connect multiple sets to double or triple your space for larger rooms or multiple children.
What is the exact size?
The system is modular to fit your home. When paired with our SG Playmat, you can choose from three configurations:
Full Size (Standard): Frame measures approx. 57.5" x 96.9" (Fits the unfolded 55.1" x 94.5" mat).
Half Size: Frame measures approx. 57.5" x 49.6" (Fits the folded 55.1" x 47.2" mat).
Quarter Size: Frame measures approx. 57.5" x 26" (Fits the 55.1" x 23.6" mat).
Should I clean the mat before first use?
It’s not necessary, but you can give it a quick wipe if you’d like. The cover fabric is steam-washed three times before assembly, so there’s no unpleasant odor out of the box. It’s ready to use as soon as it arrives.
For everyday care, a mild baby-safe cleaner or baby wipes work great. Just ensure the mat is fully dry before laying it down again to prevent any mold.
How does the fitting Playpen work?
The Prima Playpen is designed to fit seamlessly around your Wunderkids Playmat, transforming it into a secure, enclosed "baby room". Its modular design allows you to adjust the size (full, half, or quarter setups) or even connect two units for a massive play space. It creates a sturdy, contained area that evolves with your child—from tummy time to active toddler play.
